Atlas of the Everyday Mind โ€” guide

Atlas of the Everyday Mind โ€” guide

An interactive lab bringing together fields of thought and practical life in a network of concepts, tools, and practices.

  1. 01

What is the Atlas of Mind?

An interactive lab combining multiple fields of everyday mental activity: critical thinking, personal development, economics, management, technology & society, and more.

Each field is a network of nodes representing concepts, tools, and thinking practices โ€” linked together in an interactive graph that shows how these ideas build on each other.

  2. 02

Journeys โ€” step by step, in sequence

Each field contains several learning journeys, and each journey is a sequence of 5 to 8 nodes ordered logically to build understanding step by step.

Some journeys are open to everyone, and others are for members only. Signup is free and gives you full access.

  3. 03

    Inside each node

Each node is a rich card containing: the core of the concept, an everyday scene, the cognitive effect, red flags, and a micro-practice you can try immediately.

Also, the category (foundational / process / distortion / contextual / emergent) and the depth (1 easy โ†’ 3 transformative) help you set your priorities.

  4. 04

    The quiz

After finishing the journey, a 12-question quiz measures understanding and application โ€” not memorization. With an AI summary of your performance and guidance for the next step.

  5. 05

    Save your progress

For registered members, your progress is saved automatically โ€” the nodes you've visited, the journeys you've completed, and your quiz results.

Pick up where you left off, anytime, on any device. Signup is completely free โ€” no card required.

  6. 06

What do you gain in practice?

The Atlas isn't theoretical lessons โ€” it's practical mental training connecting concepts to real-life contexts.

    • A sharper language to describe what's going on in your thinking
    • Greater ability to suspend judgment before reacting
    • Seeing the connections between ideas and fields
    • Practical tools you can try out immediately
  7. 07

    What does "category" mean?

Foundational like critique and shared understanding โ€” process like interpretation and abstraction โ€” distortion like reduction and rigid certainty โ€” contextual pressure like loyalty, fear, and authority โ€” emergent like closure and flexibility.

  8. 08

    Depth and network lines

Depth refers to the node's complexity and how transformative it is โ€” from direct, simple concepts to nodes that reshape how you think.

Line thickness reflects the strength of the relation between two nodes. Line color tells you the nature of the relation: green for strengthening, red for distortion or resistance.
