Learning-needs analysis
Designs the analysis approach for ambiguous or high-impact cases, links needs to business results, decides the most suitable solution, and improves the analysis tools while guiding those who use them.
In this journey
- In an ambiguous or high-impact case, selects the fitting levels of analysis (organisation, task, individual) and the data sources that match the case's scale and risk, and justifies the choice as it would be recorded in the analysis plan.
- Analyses the root-cause evidence in a performance-gap case to determine whether the gap lies in knowledge and skill, calling for training, or in a procedure, tool or incentive, calling for a documented non-training recommendation.
- Evaluates the needs proposed in a draft annual plan, judging the priority of each by its link to a specific performance indicator with a measurable expected change, and by the impact, risk and regulatory criteria agreed with senior management.
- Evaluates an analysis report prepared by a coordinator, identifying its recurring gaps and choosing the written feedback and the change to the analysis template that best address them.
